The festival of national cultures "From Outfits to Rituals" was held, organized in honor of the 30th anniversary of the Assembly of the Kazakhstan people and Gratitude Day on February 26 and 28, 2025.
As part of the celebration of the anniversary, the museum turned into a large festival site for 2 days.
The first day was devoted to the material culture of different peoples. The opening of the Day of Material Culture of the festival of national cultures "From Outfits to Rituals" took place. During the opening, a show of authentic costumes was organized - Kazakh, Russian, Korean and Polish, created by the museum as part of the project "History of National Costumes. The Chuvash Ethnocultural Center "Shanchek" took part in the fashion show.
Traditional Kazakh crafts were presented by a master class on wood processing with the participation of Tleugazy Duisembekov.
National cuisine was revealed through a culinary master class on cooking the Korean national dish kuksi and a demonstration of the rules of etiquette for using chopsticks.
Everyday life and household items were presented through interactive tasks using a range of objects related to different national cultures.
The second day of the festival was dedicated to the spiritual culture of different peoples. During the event, musical instrumental culture was presented by the performance of the Kazakh folk instrumental orchestra "Murager" of students of the music school.
Dance art was reflected through the traditions of performing Greek dance and a master class from the ensemble "Aneksi" of the ethnocultural center "Pontos". Folklore was expressed in the art of song from the German ensemble of the ethnocultural center "Volksshimme" and the Tatar ensemble "Duslyk".
And the festival ended with a challenge of traditional national games.
