The Temirtau city’s Museum opened the "Extreme sports enthusiasts" exhibition devoted to the history of extreme sports in Temirtau city on April 22, 2025.
The purpose of the exhibition is to show the courage, determination and philosophy of people for whom risk has become a part of life and a source of inspiration.
The exhibition includes three key thematic blocks:
- Motorcycle racing
Visitors will learn about motocross as a philosophy of movement, get acquainted with the structure of motorcycle racing, the stages of training athletes and see real equipment and a bike on which Temirtau city’s residents participated in races in the 1970s.
- Tornado Yacht Club
The section is dedicated to the history of one of the first yacht clubs in the region. The exhibition reveals the process of building sports yachts, the features of sailboat management, the achievements of yachtsmen and regattas.
- Parachutists
Through archival photographs, the history of parachuting in Temirtau is told, about the people who stood at the origins of the creation of parachuting.
The exhibition creates a holistic image of the extreme sports world.
The opening was held in the format of an open microphone, where guests could directly ask questions to the motocross coach Chubarev G.S. and the head of the yacht club "Tornado" Pavlyuk A.N.
The city's media were present at the opening.
