The Temirtau Museum hosted a roundtable event, "The History of Kazakhstan Banknotes from the Origins to the Present", to commemorate National Currency Day and the 30th anniversary of the banknote factory's opening on November 14, 2025.
The event took place in the Numismatics Hall. The central part of the hall vividly illustrates the history of Kazakhstan's national currency, the tenge. Coins and paper money from the first issue in 1993 to modern examples are on display, along with collectible gold and silver proof-quality coins.
The event included a multimedia overview of the history of the creation and issuance of Kazakhstan banknotes and the opening of the banknote factory.
Participants were offered hands-on expert work on determining the security features of current tenge notes (each participant was given banknotes and a magnifying glass for individual work).
The event culminated in the presentation of the new proof-quality collectible coin, Street Art. BATYR BEINESI from the series “Studying coins – discover Kazakhstan”.
