The Temirtau City Museum hosted a remembrance meeting «Poem about a Mason», devoted to the 125th anniversary of the birth of Uken Turmagambetov, the pioneer builder and Honorary Citizen of Temirtau city on January 22, 2026.

During the event, Uken Turmagambetov's biography and his contribution to the construction of the city's industrial and social facilities were presented using museum exhibits and documentary footage.

Students from Secondary School No. 27 participated in the meeting. The students discussed the concept of heroism in modern society and the importance of personal responsibility for preserving the history of their hometown.

The event was educational and educative in nature and helped foster an interest in the history of their native region.
