The Temirtau City Museum held a presentation of the collection "Temirtau city in the System of Political Repression: Documents and Testimonies," from the museum's "Citizens" series on May 29 at 12:00 PM,.

The book's release was timed to coincide with tragic dates in Kazakhstan's history: Remembrance Day for the Victims of Mass Political Repression and Famine and the 95th anniversary of the Karlag organization.

Work on this publication took many years and is the culmination of extensive research by museum staff. The collection includes unique archival documents from the collections of the Special State Archives of the Department of the National Security Committee for the Karaganda Region, the State Archives of the Karaganda Region, the State Archives of the City of Temirtau, materials from the State Commission for the Full Rehabilitation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and materials from the collections of the Temirtau Museum of History and Local History.
