The Temirtau City Museum organized an off-site exhibition titled "City Stories" as part of the festivities marking Temirtau City Day on October 10, 2026.
The exhibition’s concept was built around the history of Temirtau city’s establishment and development. It featured several interactive photo zones, each reflecting a specific stage of the city's history—from its formative period and the first builders to subsequent phases of growth and contemporary life in Temirtau.
The interactive format allowed visitors not only to explore historical materials but also to become active participants in the exhibition. The photo zones drew the attention of festival-goers, offering them the chance to take memorable photos while connecting with their city's history.
The "City Stories" exhibition generated great interest among the event's guests. Residents of all ages—including families with children, young people stopped next to the photo zones. People were particularly intrigued by the opportunity to recognize familiar city scenes and imagery, and to view the city's history through a unique, modern lens.
Hosting this off-site exhibition enabled the museum to showcase Temirtau’s historical and cultural heritage directly within the festive setting, expand its audience, and demonstrate the potential of modern interactive methods for promoting local history.
Thus, the museum’s participation in the City Day celebrations through the "City Stories" exhibition proved to be an effective way to engage residents and visitors with Temirtau city’s history, spark interest in museum collections, and preserve the historical memory of the city's various stages of development.
